Workshop Four

Re-imagining Your Yoga Practice

NEXT WORKSHOP:
TBA

In this Katonah yoga workshop we will explore asana and pattern in a way that gives us techniques and insights to use your time well in order to live a healthy, joyful and productive life.

A pose is never held, but rather articulated and redefined so personal techniques and unconscious habits give way to new ways of consciously traveling one’s terrain. This is what improves the function of form, one’s housing for organs, glands, bones.

Get ready to let go of old patterns and habits that don’t serve you or your practice anymore, and embrace new tools to up the function of your life both on and off the mat. This workshop is perfect for practitioners of all levels and styles, teachers and students.

Learn to organise yourself – use technique to leverage – and re-embody your practice.

Katonah yoga is a commingling of Hatha yoga poses integrated with theories of sacred geometry to help develop stability and dimension. It has a Taoist philosophy to help observe how we conform to nature’s patterns in our bodies.

The practice is also peppered with Pranayama and Kundalini that moves breath through your physical terrain, serving as a conduit between the body and mind, soothing the soul. The goal of the practice is to become whole, in order to live a life of integrity and happiness.

Open to both teachers and students who are curious to explore these connections more.
